Jacqueline Parish
pic of jacque
Jacqueline Parish expresses her personal interpretation of subjects and emotions using color and pattern as tools to give her pictures form and mood. She works with a variety of mediums to discover unique ways to define her style.
After a carreer in advertising and public relations, she earned a degree in art, working in monoprint, linocut, watercolor, and acrylic. Her collage work is self'-taught, at times influenced by Romare Beardon.
Her passion for music often influences the work. orchestrated in a rhythmic, improvisational manner. "I'll put on jazz music when I work on a 'jazz picture', for blues
when I put on a 'blues picture', classical when I work on things such as flowers, nudes, or portraits. Music is instrumental to my life.
